One of the best parts of working for Rare, is having the opportunity to create great work as a team, bringing everyone’s unique skills together into a massive big ball of great art!
Led by Amber-Jane Raab, there is an ever-growing range of digital designs.
Our studio designs are headed by Amber-Jane Raab, are worked on by various members of the talented team at Rare, to create fantastic limited-edition prints to adorn any space.
We follow trends and make sure we always have a great offering of affordable, outstanding art. We start with a concept and then members of the team are involved in research, layouts, design imagery etc. The final proofs are always passed by Amber to ensure they are stand-out quality. There comes a point where the veil is lifted and that dog-eared poster you stuck up as a temporary fix isn’t quite cutting the mustard. We want something a bit funkier, and unique. We want art with a difference.

About the process.
Looking ahead at what is in demand for art, Rare has always worked hard to ensure we produce pieces that are contemporary, and more importantly RARE. The first range developed by Amber-Jane Raab was a photo-mosaic collection of London scenes. This involved the team at RARE taking several photography treks around London to get a great library of photography to use in the designs. These were then used to create larger imagery, by piecing thousands of photos in light and shade to produce a striking resemblance to a London place or scene.
Little did we know that this would be the start of a journey to creating impressive, striking designs that would be in high demand – and remains to be years later.
Credit is given to the team that work on these, from the research, photography and composition of every piece made. Importantly, the umber of editions is limited, so these remain exclusive designs. They are usually available in a number of sizes and finishes, so there’s something for everyone.
